About the Course

Bad audio is one of the fastest ways to lose an audience — even great visuals can't save it. This course teaches you to capture clean sound on set, mix it correctly, and hand off audio that's ready for post-production.

You'll train on real microphones, mixers and recorders, covering everything from a single interview to mixing sound for a live event.

  • Choose and use the right microphone for any situation
  • Record clean dialogue on set as a boom operator
  • Understand signal flow and correct gain staging
  • Spot and fix noise, hum and level problems
  • Finish ready to work as a sound recordist or mixer
